Children and Communion

At St. Alban's our policy is that all people, regardless of religious tradition, are entitled and welcome to receive Holy Communion. Children, including babies, are welcome and encouraged to receive communion. For more information, or if you have any questions, please contact the Rector.

Prayer Chain

Five different groups of parishioners, linked by telephone and/or email, pray for specific needs referred to them and communicate quickly with the rest of the Parish in case of emergencies. If you have prayer requests or are interested in becoming part of the Prayer Chain, contact Glenna Geiger at 610-644-9159 (home) or 484-354-8270 (cell).

Retreats and Quiet Days

Retreats and Quiet Days are offered periodically. Each new Vestry goes on a weekend retreat shortly after the January Annual Parish Meeting, to prepare spiritually and organizationally for the year ahead. The Tuesday-Morning Bible Study Group also makes occasional retreats. The Episcopal Diocese of PA has the Wapiti Retreat Center in Maryland (brand new in 2004), which we've been using. St. Alban's usually offers a Quiet Day during the Lenten season, and occasionally during Advent. In either case, a well-qualified facilitator is invited to St. Alban's to guide us through this time of prayer and spiritual reflection and meditation, which is open to both parishioners and the community.
